Ruth Cohn Institute for TCI-international
is, on the one hand, an international organization in which people have come together, using the model of Theme-centered Interaction (TCI) as a form of living learning and working - in many professions – for their orientation, and in this feel allied despite regional, national and continental borders. In addition the organization has assigned itself the task of spreading and further developing this form of instruction and work. This takes place in courses, publications (such as the magazine “Theme-centered Interaction”) as well as work offered within the organization itself, and finally through courses given by the TCI group leaders coming from all kinds of professions. Working under the Ruth Cohn Institute for TCI – international umbrella are the member organizations from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary and Poland. They are organized independently, they offer regional training and have their own training commissions that are affiliated with RCI international.

WHAT IS THEME-CENTERED INTERACTION (TCI)?

In the late 1950s TCI was developed by the psychoanalyst Ruth Cohn. During the course of the past decades TCI has proven to be successful as a method for leading and working with groups, teams, boards, conferences or meeting of very large groups. It is a useful tool for the analysis, planning, and guiding  processes in groups, projects and organizations. In addition TCI is an effective tool for personal reflection, continuing, individual development and professionalism.
